Woohoohoo! Or, ramblings about TV

Mission: Impossible is going to be out on DVD in its entirety in November!

Squee!

Also, I bit the bullet and signed up for Zip.ca, and so far I have to say I'm pretty impressed with the service. The DVDs come quickly, and so far only one has come "out of order" since I've put only TV series on my wishlist. It's an exercise in patience for me, since I like to do marathons of TV seasons, but watching them four at a time and then waiting a week or so for the next four episodes is working out pretty well thus far.

I rented "Tru Blood" from my FLVS, and while it was very different from what I expected, I thoroughly enjoyed it once I revised my expectations. I have to say that the show does unsexy sex scenes remarkably well. The writing was solid, and made me laugh and laugh.

I have been renting "Prison Break," but someone else in the neighbourhood had the same idea as I did, and so I am currently being thwarted by the fact that the second disc of season 2 is out and has been for days. So I'm going to have to wait a little while before I find out what happens next.

So tonight I have a choice between Criminal Minds, Supernatural, and Deadwood. All in all, I can't complain. :)

Mad Men is awesome. I'm halfway through season two (also having problems with them always being off the shelves when I want to rent 'em) and I have become completely hooked to the point of worshipful drooling.

True Blood

I am waiting for Season 1 to arrive.

I've seen Season 2's episodes so often on replay that Savant considers me addicted.

I find myself altogether too interested in Eric.

What amazes me is how they all sound genuinely Southern:
Godric - Danish
Eric - Swedish
Bill - British
Jason - Australian

The guy who plays Jason is a handsomer, younger version of George W. Bush and I know he'd be great in the role. But whom shall I call with this wonderful notion?

Who's your fave?
