Hey, it's morning again...

Got to bed late, am tired as a result. Oh well. That'll larn me, I guess.

Today's lesson: there's nothing quite like cleaning up cat puke first thing in the morning. I suppose I should be charmed that my cats are anxious for me to start the day on a good footing. :P

The other lesson is: no more tuna for George. I thought that a half-teaspoon in each bowl wouldn't be harmful for the cats, but I guess George's digestive system can't handle even that. He get kibble from now on. It's the only thing that doesn't make him sick on a consistent basis.

I had leftover muffin mix, so in about five minutes I shall have muffins. All I need now is a proper coffee maker, and my mornings will be pretty good, all told. In other exciting breakfast news, I have found that adding boiling water to instant oatmeal makes it taste better than cooking it in the microwave, and takes only just a bit more time. So, boiling water it is. I still need a proper kettle.

Okay. Gotta go get dressed. Breakfast is done, lunch is made.

I could use a nap, to be honest, but hey. I'll nap when I'm dead. ;)

Cats are. .. like that. (The dog eats the cat food - it makes her sick. The cat eats the dog food - it makes HIM sick. Neither of them seem at all inclined to eat their own food. GAH.) Also, meowing cat at 5:30 is a skinning offense. To quote you: I love my cat. I love my cat. I would regret it. I love my cat.

Also, speaking of coffee maker - Canadian Tire has a small one (5 cups, so basically two mugs and a bit at most) on special at 9.99$ right now. I was intending to get one, so if that sounds appealing to you, let me know!

And, erm, will be moving back to Montreal within two weeks. I have an apartment. And I'd kinda like to see you when I get there, sometime, when you're free... yeah?

Woo! Coffee maker! I am definitely interested.

Also, yes. I would absolutely love to see you when you get into town. Let me know what your schedule is like and we'll coordinate. :)

What was it you werwe saying the other week? A kettle is a necesity, something like that? Wise words :) *sips her morning tea*

They are also a lot cheaper than I was expecting for small electric models.

Yeah, I know. My job just suddenly ate all my free time. Before I could have just gone after work, but now I get home after many of the shops have closed, and am too tired to go on excursions anyway. Boo-urns. Kettle shall be obtained this weekend. :)

Do your cats actually each have their own bowls, and they actually eat only out of their own bowls? If so, your cats are miraculous...

At my parents' house, one cat is overweight and the other a lot older and very skinny. So the one gets Iams Weight Control and the other gets Iams Active Senior. However, the fat cat would eat the old cat's food if we served it somewhere she could reach. Therefore, old cat's food is served on top of the cupboards - where she is able to jump to but the fat cat can't.

At my house, I also have one fat cat and one skinny cat, and they should probably be eating different foods. But I made the mistake of having two young, agile cats, and there is no where that I can put the food for one that the other couldn't reach. So, they get Iams multicat in two bowls in the same place, and although there are two bowls containing the same food, they simply have to push their snouts into one bowl, 'cause you know, the grass is always greener on the other side of the fence.

I have two cat dishes that have two compartments. None of the cats respect each other's boundaries at all, so if one cat leaves its bowl unattended, then the food therein is considered fair game by everyone involved. Right now they all get the same food because I can't think of a good way to get everyone to eat from their own bowl. :P
