Watch me be needy! :P

Okay, say something nice to me. I don't care what it is, so long as it's true. :)

You're creative, funny, and interesting.

[identity profile] montecristo.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I think you're cool and I like you a lot.

What'd I win?

[identity profile] sultrysong.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 10:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I think you're really neat. I love the way you talk about work and life and keep us coming back for more. You're just pretty damn cool.

[identity profile] foi-nefaste.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 10:06 pm (UTC)(link)
You're interesting, well-read, funny, you write brilliant dialogue, you're cute and sweet, and you manage to pull things together amazingly well under improbable circumstances.

[identity profile] sultrysong.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
And writing dialogue is one of the hardest things ever, so that's pretty fnunky.

[identity profile] amanda-mary.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 10:30 pm (UTC)(link)
You have an amazing variety of interests, are intelligent, witty, and quite cute (if the handful of pictures you've posted are any indication)!

That's a great picture, if you axe me.

I nearly saw that one coming. Is her bark worse than her byte?

[identity profile] fearsclave.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 11:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I dunno. She's never bitten me. But she can strike a mean heroic pose.

Hunting choo-choo's out of season, were we?

[identity profile] montecristo.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
...or just practicing following their tracks?

Re: Hunting choo-choo's out of season, were we?

[identity profile] fearsclave.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 07:28 am (UTC)(link)
Just tracking them. Dynamite locomotive season doesn't start until June around here :)

What in the world are you and Ms Phnee up so very late for? Is this some sort of communal insomnia, or is it just some Canadian winter thing?

Re: Hunting choo-choo's out of season, were we?

[identity profile] mousme.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 07:38 am (UTC)(link)
Well, he's sick and I'm a little hyper from too much caffeine and dancing. I'm going to bed now, I swear. I have to be up early.

Gah.

Well then, good night. Hope you have an excellent day tomorrow.

Disease; sore throat and cough are keeping me up, so I am self-medicating with Scotch and gun pr0n :).

That ain't a commie hat! It's got a maple leaf on it.

[identity profile] montecristo.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 07:24 am (UTC)(link)
Canada is only Socialist. My ex-father-in-law had a real Russian Red army issue commie hat brought back from Russia.

[identity profile] mousme.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 07:26 am (UTC)(link)
That's not a maple leaf. It's a communist pin from Cuba, IIRC. Also, that is in fact a real Russian Red army issue commie hat. It belongs to my mother. :)

[identity profile] montecristo.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 07:31 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, my mistake! You have one too then! You know, with all of the Soviet memorabilia available today, it reminds me of that old Jackson Browne song: "Lawyers in Love" heh heh!

Re: She is lovely, brilliant... Okay, now you've done it -- it has to be sung:

[identity profile] montecristo.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, she's a lumberjack,
And she's okay,
She sleeps all night,
And she works all day,

She cuts down trees,
She eats her lunch,
She likes to press wild flawrs,
She puts on women's clothing,
And hangs around in bars!

Dude. Your turn.

[identity profile] fearsclave.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
I sang her "Happy Birthday" via phone post...

Re: She is lovely, brilliant...

[identity profile] montecristo.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 07:34 am (UTC)(link)
D'Oh, I was expecting a picture of her making the drumheads dance!

Re: She is lovely, brilliant...

[identity profile] mousme.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 07:37 am (UTC)(link)
Nope. [livejournal.com profile] fearsclave has yet to come to a Random Colour concert.

Re: She is lovely, brilliant...

[identity profile] montecristo.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 07:39 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, and that lucky bum lives close enough where that is a possibility! The rest of us will just have to settle with downloaded bootleg concert tapings! Seriously though, I would like to hear what Random Colour sounds like, if you feel like posting an MP3 or four.

I am sure she drums with this same fluid, relaxed grace...

[identity profile] kimberly-a.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 10:54 pm (UTC)(link)
I think you're a very brave person who faces difficult things even when you're intimidated or scared.

Hmmm...

[identity profile] fearsclave.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 11:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Where to start? The fact that you are a pearl among women, the most pleasant of company, articulate, witty, funny, sharper than a bucket full of double-edged razor blades, stick at nothing and therefore good to have along for just about anything, capable of baiting your own hooks, creative, and loved by an impressively large number of really neat people?

[identity profile] elanya.livejournal.com 2006-01-27 11:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Wot everybody else said... Plus you have excellent taste in both choices of exotic hair colouring and instruments of rockin' out ^-^

[identity profile] toughlovemuse.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 12:19 am (UTC)(link)
You are multi-talented, intelligent and express yourself well. You're always willing to try new things and you set your sights high -- and you succeed. You look for ways to better yourself, and that's a rare gift indeed (not so rare among our friends, granted, but that's why they're our friends, yes?).

[identity profile] karine.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
*licks* With you, I have fun. Name the activity... it's fun with you. :D

[identity profile] owldaughter.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
If life hands you lemons, you roll with it and carry on.

And you *do* stuff. Yes, they are shinies, but like Ceri says, you're multi-talented. You find something that you think you'd like to do, and you do it.

And you love to read. I adore that about you.

[identity profile] karine.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
By the way, this is me linking to a reply to an old post of yours. I just wrote it but I don't know how likely you are to check older entries, so...

A while back I posted that there were a bunch of folks on my friends list that I had friended because I admired them and wanted to see if I could adopt some of their best qualities by osmosis. You're one of them.

[identity profile] rosy1.livejournal.com 2006-01-28 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
You know I think you're talented, funny and prolific (I've said it before, I'll say it again, please collect all the "Dear ____ Letters" in one collection).

I also think you're far more open and honest about your insecurities than most people I meet who pretend that everything is cool (which sometimes works, but none of that easy-way-out for you!).

I think sometimes your anger is a sadness in overdrive, which makes me sad.

I predict (for whatever that is worth) that your inner peace and lasting happiness will be hard won, but when you possess it will never be able to be taken away from you and you won't need anyone (least of all, me) to tell you good things about yourself.

xx rosy (who will never forget you telling me "no you will not quit!" during NaNoWriMo)

Compassionate, intelligent
