Tags question

[livejournal.com profile] the_xtina, I'm looking at you. ;)

So, you know how you can view all entries with a particular tag, right? What if I want to view entries using two tags as keyword (for lack of a better way of expressing it)? See, it's rare that my entries only have one tag. Usually there are two or more. So, supposing I'm looking for an entry I remember tagging "work" and "rant" and "random" (for example), I don't want to just search for "work" because that'll net me six-billion entries to look through.

How would I go about doing that? Is it even possible?

Thanks!

Can't.  Gar.

What I usually do is get very specific with tags sometimes, and then just go through each tag briefly, to get a sense of when [event] was.  So I'm looking for my knitting post about sweater dimensions - kfilter first, then kprojects and kpatterns, and somehow, I get there.

PAIN IN THE ASS, but oh well.

Boo. Oh well. Maybe LJ will fix that eventually.

I don't like being as specific as you are with tags, because then what's the point of making tags at all? I may as well just search through my entries because I know roughly when they were each written.

Thanks for the input. :)

Partly because all my tags are listed on my front page (journal and flist), as part of the S2 Smooth Sailing style.  So I don't have to go poking through the calendar to find what I hated in December - I can just scan the list for "holi.*" and "rant.*" to see when I was being pissy about Xmas.  (Heh.)

Partly I'm not nearly as descriptive as some people.

And partly, I've always likened tags to a good index in a book.  I could just read through my book to find $thing, or I could check the index first!

Dear God, that's a lot of tags! ^^;
