"Claude Huggins, you are a coward and you let your children die."
After chatting about L4D with John Scalzi during the kaffeeklatch on Saturday, I mentioned that someone ought to fanfic that line of graffiti. He then looked me in the eye and told me to do it.
So... looks like I have a writing project. Too bad I haven't quite figured out how to do it yet. Normally the answer would be "Play more L4D," only I can't because I don't have the equipment.

The game format is pretty straightforward: a plucky group of four survivors has to make it from Point A to Point B, where rescue awaits. In between are zombies and boss zombies, with a couple of rest points in-between. Those rest points are notorious for having inventive graffiti scrawled on the walls, and the "Claude Huggins" graffiti is infamous by now. Seeing it on the walls the first time you go in is absolutely chilling.

Left 4 Dead?
computer gametactical anti-zombie self defence simulation training software ever. I have issues with its modelling of zombie dynamics (it esposes the erroneous so-called "fast zombie" model instead of the more-accurate classic Romero slow-zombie/headshot model), and I have issues with the firearms modelling too, but the characterization, dialogue, writing and atmospherics are fabulous. And ask me what my icon means :).
Re: Left 4 Dead?
Thanks btw :) And sure, I'll fall for it - what does your icon mean? ;)
