Where the heck did my week go?

Today was made of planning fail. I got up late, and I think I've forgotten a number of important things I was meant to pack for my trip to the GFHW this weekend. Blast.

I forgot the novel I was reading. I packed an extra, so all is not lost, but I'm annoyed at having to abandon that story in the middle, just when a really good part was starting.

Gnarr.

I went to bed at a decent-ish hour, which is all to the good. I have to scarper out of here after work in order to catch my train, so I hope things don't go nuts the way they did yesterday. This week has been insane, work-wise. The Overtime Fairy has been coming around and whacking people with her stick, and it feels like the entire Division is working around the clock.

What doesn't help is that we had a major fraud bust go down on Tuesday. Locals may have read or heard about it: we shut down about 16 local branches of Western Union and Moneygram, for suspected participation in international fraud. Exciting stuff, but we worked REALLY hard.

We were following the Moneygram story, but it was a bitch to illustrate, especially before we got confirmation that most of the places were actually Moneygram.

No kidding that's gotta be a lot of work, co-ordinating something like that. You guys rock like things that are rock-like.

It's been two years in the making, that bust. Almost an anti-climax. Two years of prep, twelve hours of execution. :P
