I'm having a very bad day.

Without going into detail:

My bank has screwed me. *waits for gasps of shock and surprise* Thus, I will have NO money at all until next Thursday, when they magnanimously decided to unfreeze my goddamn paycheque. It took a very long time to convince them not to bounce my rent cheque today. Fuck them.

There's a list of mistakes as long as my arm that got made at the office. Some of them are my fault. They are fixed, but I still feel crappy about having made the mistakes in the first place.

The computer system at work broke down six times today. Words cannot express the level of my hatred for our computer system. I have to fight with it every single goddamn day, several times a day. I'm tired of it.

After three weeks of working fifty and fifty-five hour weeks, I'm now really really tired. My entire life right now seems to consist of work and barely seven hours of sleep a night.

I can't even buy myself a goddamned cup of coffee. That's how broke I am. The money is in the bank, they just won't let me have it. I hate them. I hate them a whole lot. I think I hate them more than our computer system.

that happened to us when we first moved to chicago. i had also paid ALL the bills for the month; we had to just wait hoping that nothing would bounce. Unfortunately the cell phone did and the bank got an earful and then had to write a letter to the phone company explaining so that our credit wouldn't be ruined. we switched banks as soon as they unfroze our account.

No love for the bastards?

Actually, that does sound a bit grim. I can see why you would be worried and pissed off. It is a natural danger of big bureaucracies that they have a penchant for grinding people up without even seeming to notice.

Everybody makes mistakes. You seem to be a very consciencious person. I'm sure you don't repeat many of them. ; )

In the future, it might be wise to keep a small stash of cash in your house somewhere, for just such emergencies. (Gee, what a brilliant idea I just had -- I know). At any rate, I hope you get it straightened out soon.

I am so sorry. I know from experience how bad it sucks to not have money, and definately how much it sucks to "have" money but not be able to get to it. *hugs* ::kicks the bank::

*hugs*

Is there anything I can do to help? Other than offer sympathy and curse the bank, that is?

You do know you can ask me for a loan anytime, right?

Good.

*hugs* I wish there was something I could do. :(
