I don't fucking believe this

My DVD player is broken.

Not just any kind of broken, mind you. Broken broken.

I just finished watching "Supersize Me" (and am pretty much never going near a McDonald's ever again. Yecch!), and ejected the DVD.

Correction.

The tray ejected. The DVD stayed behind. That's right. The DVD got stuck in the player.

I attempted to dislodge the DVD. I succeeded, but only partially. The DVD is dislodged, but still won't come out of the machine. The tray can't close.

Why the fuck do these things always seem to happen to me? I can't afford to get this fixed, but the DVD is a rental and thus it has to be fixed. I'm going to take it back to FutureShop this weekend and hope that the warranty covers this sort of malfunction,

:::headdesk:::

I so didn't need this.

I don't know that it'll help, but we seem to have a plethora of DVD players. If you need one, just let me know and I can probably hook you up.

Thanks, I appreciate it and I'll keep that in mind.

Right now I'm more worried about getting the friggin' DVD back to the rental place. This is a brand-new DVD player. I got it for Christmas. This kind of thing shouldn't be happening to it.

I got a tape stuck in the VCR I bought from Future Shop, and they just popped the case, pulled out the tape, and handed the VCR back to me all good as new. Their warrantees are at least a year long, so you should be fine. Not that this doesn't suck as another hassle you don't need, but if they follow true to form then this isn't a disaster.

You should be able to unscrew the upper portion of the case from the sides and lift it up.

Whoops. That last comment would be from me.

Thank you. A secret admirer is nice, but I'm glad it's you!
