Learned another advanced dance yesterday. Kicked ass, too.

I thought of whiskeygirl8, because it was a choreography composed for a Toby Keith song, "I Love This Bar."

I'll have to show it to her when I visit Oklahoma, or when she comes here to visit, whichever comes first. :) It's a couples dance, mind you, so I'll have to learn both parts, depending on whether she's a leader or a follower. Me, I follow best when dancing, but I figure I could probably learn the leader part without too much difficulty, given practice.

I tried two-stepping with my friend, Christina, once when we were at Caravan. I was teaching her and wanted her to learn the follower part because mostly she would be dancing with guys, right? Well, I realized halfway through it that I was holding her hand as if I were following. Cuz, that's what I'm used to. hehe

So, yeah, in dancing I would guess I'm a follower. heh

You can two-step? Awesome. We'll have to do that too. :)

I have to learn the leader part. I know what you mean about holding people's hands as though you were following: on the few occasions I've tried leading I get all confused too. ;)

My right hand automatically goes up and my left hand automatically goes to the shoulder. In all the years I've been dancing, that's just how I do it (although, in country dancing--especially when the guy is tall--the guy will often bring his arm up over the girl's and put his hand on her shoulder, so now both your hands are on each other's shoulders. But, that's neither here nor there.)

Two-stepping is easy. I mean, it gets harder when you add in spins and twirls (although, with a strong partner I do OK) or when the music gets fast. But, the basic steps are sooo simple. You could do it easy. I should have taught you when I was there.

Oh, I know how to two-step. It's just that I follow rather than lead. Twirls are fun!
