Oh, dear God...

[livejournal.com profile] fearsclave is a baaaaaad influence. Going to Alexandria on a Wednesday night is not a good idea if you have to work the next day. Ended up staying the night. Also a bad idea. I had fun, but it was Not Smart(TM).

Did not drink, luckily, as ended up the default designated driver (no one else was sober enough to qualify). Went to bed very late. Well, not all that late if I'd been able to sleep in, but had to get up at 5am to get into Montreal for work. Four hours of incredibly broken sleep is not enough to function, let me tell you. Yes, broken sleep. Then again, I probably slept more than the other people whom I won't name who are directly responsible for the broken state of my slumber. All I can say is: yikes, loud. At least they had a good time.

So now am doing the zombie thing at work. Thus far, no one has noticed, probably because I'm wired beyond belief on caffeine. Asked to go home half an hour early, as I got here half an hour early, and I have a feeling no one will mind.

Maybe a better update later.

Alexandria, Ont.? I used to live near there. As a treat after our Sunday-morning meetings in Cornwall, we would sometimes go into a restaurant in Alexandria that had the best hot chocolate in the world.
I do so very much love southern Ontario.

One of these days I'm going to drag the hubby to Canada to hang with you and fear....

I was in Alexandria a couple of weeks ago for a wedding. So now I know a married couple that lives there. Of course, my brother recently moved to Martintown, so I guess I have more reasons than ever to visit that part of Ontario.
