Glorious food!
Man, am I hungry!
*eats in blissfully blissful state of bliss*
I made myself pasta with shrimp and tomato sauce. I was extremely hungry. I was going to eat earlier, but got delayed by the removal of furniture from my home.
Tomorrow I shall be moving back into my bedroom! Huzzah!
Prospero's Daughter, in her quest to fill her spare bedroom with a paying guest/roommate, did me the huge favour of taking the bed
lux80 left behind, which belongs to
lux80's former roommate (who has a blog, I just don't remember the URL right now, because I'm bad that way. Oops.). So now my bedroom is once again free! And I can stop sleeping in my living room!
I also cleaned up before she came with her employer to pick up the bed (her employer was helping her out with his truck to move the bed), since the apartment needed cleaning, and having people come by was as good an excuse as any to clean.
I will be cleaning more tomorrow, but I got a serious metric assload of cleaning done today, and now I am very tired and my feet and legs hurt, but I am very pleased with myself.
The cats are sulking because I upset their routine, locked them up in a room while the furniture was being moved, and then filled the apartment with the smell of cleaning products. Therefore they hate me right now. They forgave me briefly while I cleaned the shrimp, then went back to hating me when I didn't share my shrimp with them.
Am v. pleased with the shrimp, btw. They were 10 for $2.99 at the store today, which is a total steal. Bear in mind this is Canadian funds we're talking about. ;)
Will be washing floors (again) tomorrow. Washed some of them today, but one needs rewashing, and swiffered some others, and swept the living room, but that was cursory at best (can we say Great Big Hairballs of Doom? The fluffy kind that look like dust bunnies on crack, luckily, not the kind horked up by the kitties —blechh!), so I'll need to sweep again and then wash.
Must also put order in the bookcases. I keep saying that, and keep putting it off. It's not a monumental task, but knowing me it means taking out all the books and putting them back in in an order which I like better than the sort of haphazard manner in which they've been sorted in there right now.
So, yes. It's a Sisyphian job, but someone's gotta do it.

Furniture!
(Anonymous) 2004-05-20 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)I've got a really big pile of stuff going to the Salvation Army.
I've got a fairly big pile of stuff going in the garbage tomorrow.
I've got a pseudo big pile of stuff that needs a home somewhere else in my apartment as opposed to the small room that it just came from.
I had someone come by to look at the rooms, he told me my apartment was clean. I was beginnging to wonder about him. Nice enough guy though, he might take the small room, I'll find out tomorrow.
Since you're on a cleaning kick, wanna come help me with MY place???
*LOL*

Re: Furniture!
Heh. Maybe if I ever get done with this place, I'll be able to help you out. Like I said, this place is positively Sisyphian in scope (in terms of cleaning, anyway), and I think that light at the end of the tunnel that I've been seeing lately might well be an oncoming train. ^_-
Very cool that you've got all that stuff organised and ready to go, though. ^_^
If all goes well, I shall be doing much of the same tomorrow.
Right now, I should go to bed, if I want to have any prayer of actually doing that.
