Despite being told that Troy is not good...

... I may have to go see it on a cheap day.

For this:

Because, I mean, dude! Sean Bean! With a beard! As Odysseus! Which means he survives! This is big! Normally, in these movies, he dies, folks!

Maybe they'll make an Odyssey with him in it.

Hey, a girl can hope, right? And then there'll be lots of hot women around. I mean, yes, Diane Kruger looks really hot as Helen of Troy, but Odysseus gets lots of hot women, and in the Illiad there's only the one woman. ;)

I was told that they changed some of the names of the original legend, but looking at the IMdB, they all look fine, so maybe the people were mistaken. Or the IMdB is mistaken. I'm hoping the former. I may have to read the Illiad again before going, though.

there is, in fact, a rumour that if troy does well they will make the Odyssey as a follow-up ^-^

It a great time

Personally, I loved Troy.

And sure, they changed some of the legend, but that's not surprising that they change things for better flow when they switch medium. The important things were there.
