Okay, so home repair isn't really my bag...

Actually, everything was just dandy until my wall decided it didn't want to hold up the towel rack.

I guess cheap plaster is less solid than I gave it credit for. Have decided to wait until my father gets here to see what can be done. Am resisting impulse to burst into frustrated tears like a little girly-girl.

My new CD rack conveniently came without any screws, so I can't install that either until I get new screws. So screw that (pun intended, of course).

At least we may be able to get my chest of drawers up and organised.

If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go find some chocolate and make tea to console myself.

Sweetie, you just needed anchors for the plaster is all. :) Don't worry about it, all will be well, and hell, you get an excuse to have munchies out of the deal. :)

Well, in the end even the anchors didn't work out too well. I now have a hole the size of a quarter in my bathroom wall, but to my credit it's my father's fault and not mine. ;)

I will be patching the hole and putting the towel rack elsewhere tomorrow. *g*

At least the chest of drawers is all set up and looks dandy. :)

What the heck did he use??? LOL! I am sorry, not laughing at your holey walls, I swear, just at the visual of what on earth he was doing to cause such plaster-chaos. Wish I was there to help, I am handy/femme girl! Powertools and handy tips at the ready! :) ::: flinging dangerously billowy cape over my shoulder::::

He decided that even with the anchors it wasn't solid enough, so he pulled the whole thing out, ripping out part of the wall with it.

Oh well. :D
