New Year's Meme II: still early
Part II of the yearly meme.
Five things that 2008 taught me:
* Friends are a Very Good Thing to have around.
* Writing things down is important.
* Sometimes, no matter how clear you think you're being, communication doesn't happen.
* Setting goals is not the same thing as pigeonholing yourself.
* Learning new things is one of the key ways to live life to the fullest.
Five personally significant events of 2008:
* Climbing Camel's Hump
* Changing apartments
* The Shindig
* Visiting Paris after a 10-year absence
* Visiting
joane and
shenlo and The Bean in Halifax
Five things I want to do in 2009:
* Proofread and finish a second draft of "Crisse, des Zombies! (Zombie Crisis!)" and submit it for publication (I was supposed to do that last year, but it didn't quite get done)
* Put aside money for a house (continue doing so, that is)
* Start up my writing again on a regular basis (didn't happen last year)
* Grow my own garden
* Complete as many things on my list of 101 things to do in 1001 days as possible
Five things I don't want to do in 2009:
* Ignore my writing
* Stay in one place all year
* Stagnate at work
* Do nothing but work all year
* Be a couch potato
Five people whom I'd like to know better in 2009:
I'm not naming people this year either. I'm counting on Providence and a little elbow grease on my part (metaphorical elbow grease) to help me get to know my friends better.
