sultrysong who not only has bailed me out by taking poor pidgy to the SPCA to be put out of his (her?) misery, but also was kind enough to drive me home in the icky weather.
Hurray for fantastic friends!
Needless to say, my coworkers mocked me mercilessly for being a totally mushy-hearted softie. The price I pay for not being able to walk away from an animal in distress.
*sigh*
All is well that ends well. Hurray!
Tomorrow is a busy day. I'm very glad I don't have to get out to the SPCA and back on top of it all.

I couldn't leave the poor thing to agonize on the sidewalk in the freezing rain. It was just too pathetic.
