I have bamboo ones outside the bedroom window, standard smallish metal ones outside the kitchen window which chime very brightly, and a nice set of longer ones with a deeper chime in the back yard proper. I like 'em all.
Apparently, they no longer make the glass chinese chimes I remember growing up. Probably unsafe as all hell.
