I really like my Shop-Vac too. However, I don't find it works as well on cat hair on carpet as a vacuum with a spinning brush does. It works fine for cat hair on hard floor. It was also great to have when the basement drain backed up (a second, smaller event) and we had to get liquid out of carpet.
