Of course, it does mean that my local friends aren't ever going to see me again except on weekends, but what can you do?

This is the not-so-far-away dispatcher gig (the other one was even further and inaccessible by public transit, though it had better pay). I have no idea about 'net access, but I doubt it because it's a security company. I may have email, though, in which case if the job turns out to be not-too-busy, we can chat. :)
