You know, that happens a lot during interviews. I've sat in a lot of interviews, and the person is going on and on about how he was let go from his last job for not performing up to standards, and I'm thinking, "Here's a gun - just shoot yourself in the foot."

That's one of the things I've learned - don't confuse "showing enthusiasm" with "boring the interview committee".

However, I know some people who talk and talk, and it's an "endearing quality" rather than "annoying habit."
