Valentine's Day

You know what? I have never actually spent Valentine's Day with anyone ever before. I have occasionally gone out with groups of single friends to do generic movie/dinner stuff, but I've never had a date on Valentine's Day.

Surprisingly, I'm not bitter. Somehow I like not having the pressure of romance on Valentine's Day. Maybe when I'll have someone I adore beyond words I'll want to do something romantic with them on that day, but right now I'm okay with just being by myself.

:::update:::

*dies* One of my clients just asked me out! Poor guy... he was about my age and works down at the Old Port for customs. I felt so bad turning him down. I told him my calls were monitored (true) and that it was against company policy to fraternise with the clients (I have no idea but likely true-ish).

*faceplant*

I'm such a sucker for sob stories.

At least I fixed his account for him. And I said I hoped he had a good Valentine's Day.

Wow. What kind of loser would ask a customer service rep out on a date over the phone? What could he have possibly learned about you in the course of this service call to lead him to ask you out?

I've had a grand total of one good Valentine's day... (coincidentally, the only one I was in a relationship for). Last year, we had just started going out and we're still in what people described as the "nauseatingly cute" stage of our relationship. I remember spending more money than I've ever felt comfortable spending and not blinking twice because seeing the happiness in her eyes made it all worth it. I still miss her so...
