I'm not sure if you meant Italian as in 'of Italian descent' or actually Italian, but as someone born and raised in Italy I'll tell you: Italian landlords are the worst kind of landlords.

My best friend is currently in Berlin, working as a researcher, and she thought maybe finding an Italian landlord would make things easier for her; she's gone through three of them already, and they were all completely crazy (Trying to avoid paying taxes, stealing her private mail, she even had to change number TWICE because one of them wouldn't stop calling her to threaten her about stuff). Also I've had to deal with several potential landlords during the past few months and nope, let's not even get into that /o\
