Taking a page from my last roomate, would it be possible for you to set up the coffee maker in your room instead of in the kitchen?

That's a thought. It would mean being very organised about cleaning it in the bathroom sink and getting a trash can with a liner/bag for the coffee grounds, but it might be doable. I shall investigate. Thank you for the suggestion!
