Yeah, that's kinda how it was with Carter and Saash for the first couple of months. Now she'll tiptoe past him when he's asleep, and gaze at him reproachfully from the other side of the room, but still no more than that. Some cats are just not open to making friends with a dog later in life, I think. Especially ones that started off skittish in the first place.
