An unpopular opinion

I really like Christmas songs. Even the annoying ones. Even the ones that are played to death every year.

Sure, I get earwormed on some of the irritating ones ("Jingle Bell Rock" anyone?), but I don't care.

How DARE you enjoy yourself during this festive season!

Hehe, some of the overplayed ones drive me up a wall, but some of the off-kilter ones (like "It's Christmas And I Wonder Where I Am", and "The Buttcracker Suite") are quite fun. I'm just mildly disappointed I only get to break those out once a year. :-P

I like some christmas music, but if I hear "Santa clause is coming to town" one more time I'm going to eat somebody. Seriously, you ever really listen to that song? it's creepy.

I agree. That is an incredibly creepy song.

I'm glad someone out there enjoys all those songs that drive me nuts. It actually makes me feel a little better to know that.

Also, I will admit I was grinning hugely yesterday when my favorite local station played Bob & Doug McKenzie's version of "Twelve Days of Christmas."

Once it's December, I like Christmas songs! (When they start in October, not so much.)

"There should only be two days of Christmas, this is too hard for us!"

LOVE Christmas music! My favourite is O Holy Night!

I noticed that getting into the Christmas spirit (and not feeling like Christmas is OMG SUDDENLY UPON US HOW DID THAT HAPPEN AAAAAAH) is helped tremendously by a regular regimen of Christmas music in the weeks before the actual event. It was most felt when I worked in places that played that kind of music almost all day long.

I like it, but I don't want to overdose on it either. :P
