Better living through chemistry
I took a calculated risk, and guessed that some of the problem might be due to caffeine withdrawal. Since I am a two-cups-a-day gal, and didn't have any coffee yesterday, I wondered if that might not be the cause at least of the latent headache I've been fighting off. So I made myself coffee, even though I was uncertain of my ability to keep it down. So far so good, and it appears that my theory was right, since I am already feeling a bit better, and the coffee thus far is staying where it should. I suspect the Advil hasn't hurt, either, since my shoulder is better too.
If all goes well today, then I should be in shape to go back to work tomorrow. Have I mentioned that I HATE calling in sick to work? 'Cause I do. Luckily this week there are enough people to carry the shift without me, but GAH! It rankles.
I really don't want to call in sick again, but I am not an idiot. I'm off on Thursday and Friday anyway, so it would serve little purpose to go to work tomorrow, make myself sicker, and then spend my two days off being out of commission. So, I will play it by ear.
My conclusion is that I hate codeine with much hatred.
