mousme: A view of a woman's legs from behind, wearing knee-high rainbow socks. The rest of the picture is black and white. (Woe. And darkness. And teh sad.)

Phooey.

I'm not going to work at the Olympics after all. I am very disappointed, and more than a little bitter about how they announced it to us.

There are only two "good" things to come of this. The first is that I don't have to figure out what to do with the cats for six weeks. The other is that I won't be spending six weeks away from home and my routines.

I gotta say, it's a pretty small consolation.

Well, it didn't come out of it, but maybe a consolation would be that you have an American friend who thinks you are freaking brillant and misses talking to you in person. So how 'bout them pommes?

I need an apple icon now. :D

You are awesome, and I miss talking to you in person too.

*hugs*

With that extra time you have from not working the Olympics you could come visit us. HEHEHEHE. We'll only force you to eat the local food that's in season.

Alas, I am forbidden to travel during the Olympics due to operational needs. But afterward, I may descend upon you like... uh... I don't have a particularly evocative simile in mind right now, but once I have one you can bet I'll descend just like that. ;)

Yay for local food that's in season! I've never been to Delaware. Ought to be fun.

Thanks. :)

As they say: this, too, shall pass, but it's disappointing.

You're welcome!

Yeah, I understand. I could go for a free paid trip to Vancouver to see the Olympics. ^_^

You are always welcome here, when ever you want to darken our door, the local food just depends on whether it came out of the woods or out of the waters depeding on the season.

Aw, man, that sucks. Sorry to hear it.

You don't have to watch your countrypersons clubbing baby seals in person. You can still watch on TV if you're so inclined, I suppose.

I'm happy and sad for you.

Explination: I read things in chronological order.

OK so that comment I made on that other post was, rather obviously, before I read this one. Teh Sad and Teh Woe indeed.
