On a lighter note

The reason I'm awake so early today?

George decided that it would be a good idea to get a running start, leap on my bed and head-butt me as hard as he could in the face.

Sweet, and yet incredibly painful. Who knew little cat skulls could be so hard? He got me right on the nose, too.

Oh man - I had a little white devil kitty named Nova, who would regularly try to shove her head up my nose to show her appreciation for me. Then she'd look offended when I sneezed to dislodge all the cat fur. Go figure :-P

Head-Butting

Ace scratched me in August, and the bruise remains, about three inches long by an inch wide.

He whacked me during a game of Toreador two weeks ago, and that one has gone from livid to florid in a patch about 3" x 4".

He loves me. And it was my own fault (the second time, anyway).

I love his version of a head-butt, which is to gently press his forehead against mine. George sounds a bit more... ah... impetuous in his love, eh?

What IS it with noses today? Woke up with a nosebleed - I think the sudden kick-start of heating everywhere has taken away a bit too much humidity. I'll have to fix that tonight...

My cat Stalks-by-Night loves to take running headbutts at me though usually hitting my neck and back/bum and yes cat skulls certainly seem to be able to deliver hard blows. She sometimes seems to be almost able to shove me off the bed.

Pasley's old roommate had a cat who once woke me up by putting her paw over my closed eye... and slowly extending her claws.

Our cat Dancer does that as well -- headbutts you to wake you up. But that didn't seem to work, so now he sits on my chest and starts kneading my throat.

I was dreaming that I couldn't breathe -- no wonder why.

Tell me about it! Watson (the black cat) is going to break my nose one day.

my cat doesn't wake me up. she gets really offended as I wake HER up by turning on the lights at the ungodly hour of 6am.
