So here is proof of my new 'do, as requested. Behind the cut, as always.



This is a close-up of yours truly, looking a wee bit uncertain about her fate. Remember, I hadn't seen the new me yet.



And here we all are! From left to right: the new supervisor, his wife C., me, and the RCMP Safety Bear right behind me. Next to the Safety Bear is the stylist from La Coupe, and seated before her is Lisa Player from Mix 96. In red is my supervisor, and next to him are Cat Spencer and Murray Sherriffs. Missing from the picture are Camille and the guy from the Breast Cancer Foundation whose name escapes me. :P

So I was pulling up the pictures you emailed me at work yesterday afternoon, and the designer wandered up behind me and looked over my shoulder... the first I knew she was there was when she gasped and said "She's SO PRETTY! Who IS that?"

... and that was to one of the pictures with your shaved head. :D The short hair/buzzed look suits you!

And then, of course, she made the prerequisite GI Jane joke, but we'll ignore that. ;)

1) Secretly I have been coveting armwarmers, and so I have started teaching myself again. It has now been three weeks of casting on and then trying to figure out what went wrong. Turned out I was somehow looping the yarn 'round my thumb the wrong way and casting on a double stitch instead of a single one. Which would be why my 25 stitches ended up somewhere around the neighbourhood of 50. *headdesk* Finally got it right on Saturday. (YAY!)

2) Hence why I said 'try.' *g* Also, a hat made of nice soft cottony yarn on big chunky needles would go much much faster than my tiny thin yarn on tiny needles (because of course I want fine armwarmers, not chunky ones, sigh).
